Various parts of the map can be viewed differently.
To do this, move the mouse over the Map Options menu.
Select RWIS & AWOS to see all RWIS and AWOS sites, which is the default. Select Interstate Only to see only those sites along the interstates in Iowa. Select Regional Forecasts to divide Iowa into 6 forecast regions. Then click on desired map region to view 24 hour forecast. Available during the winter season only. Statewide Conditions
Select Bridge Frost Forecasts to view a map of area bridge frost forecasts. Available during the winter season only. |

To check road conditions in Iowa and surrounding states, select one of the pull down options under Road Conditions. Conditions Construction |

The Iowa Links menu allows web navigation to other web sites of interest in Iowa. Selecting State of Iowa opens the official home page of the State of Iowa. Selecting Iowa DOT opens the Iowa Department of Transportation home page. |

To view supplemental weather information the Weather Links menu provides links to other sites with Iowa weather information. Selecting National Weather Service opens the National Weather Service Iowa weather web site. Selecting Other Information & Forecasts opens the Iowa DOT Weather Information/Forecasts site which contains various links to other weather information web sites. |

To view weather watches and warnings the Weather Alerts menu provides a link to another site with Iowa weather warning and watch information. |

The About menu contains information that explains where this weather information comes from and how it is collected. Where does this come from?, Gives an overview of the RWIS and AWOS systems. What type is available?, Has a more detailed look at the information and how it is collected, including AWOS's modem dial-up, voice phone, and radio frequency systems. Please review the Disclaimer before considering any travel plans based on the weather information represent. To send comments on WeathervieW by E-mail select the Comments menu. The HELP menu provides information on how to navigate through the site, explanations on terms used, and how weather information is collected. |

The Text Only menu is a frameless and graphicless site that allows the user to view the same WeathervieW information without the using links rather then maps. |
